A light pool colour reflects more light and as such can make the pool appear larger and the water more transparent than darker colours. Light coloured pools can stand out at night with an effective use of lighting, especially if you have coloured lights. Debris and leaf litter will be more obvious with a light colour, and will be cooler than a dark pool as sunlight is reflected off the surface.
